Climate FieldView

Climate FieldView

Climate FieldView is a comprehensive digital farming platform by Bayer that aggregates and analyzes on-farm data to help growers make informed decisions. It enables farmers to gather field data from over 60+ equipment partners, scout fields remotely, build variable rate prescriptions for seed and fertilizer, and analyze yield data in real-time for better future planning. The platform includes proprietary hardware like the FieldView Drive 2.0, which plugs directly into most planting and application equipment to capture and sync operational data. Its core strength lies in converting raw equipment and field data into actionable insights and scripts, with a focus on maximizing yield and input efficiency across corn, soy, and other row crops.

FieldView™ 101 Ep. 5 | FieldView Drive 2.0 Installation
Learn how to install, pair, and connect the FieldView™ Drive 2.0 to capture machine and field data directly from the cab. In this video, we cover: Checking Compatibility: Before installation, confirm that the FieldView Drive 2.0 is compatible with your equipment setup. Installing the Device: With the machine turned off, plug the FieldView Drive 2.0 into the 9-pin diagnostic port or appropriate adapter cable. Press it firmly into place and turn it slightly to the right to secure it. Understanding the Status Indicator: A pulsing white light indicates that the device is powering up. A solid green light means the device is detecting data activity but is not yet connected to a mobile device. A solid blue light confirms a successful Bluetooth connection. Pairing with Your iPad: Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in the iPad Settings app. Select your FieldView Drive 2.0 under “Other Devices” and verify that its 12-character MAC address matches the number printed on the device and its box. Connecting Through the Cab App: Open or download the FieldView™ Cab app, then navigate to Settings and select “Devices.” Find your FieldView Drive 2.0 and tap to connect. Configuring Your Equipment: Complete all equipment settings within the FieldView Cab app to ensure data maps correctly to the field. You can also rename the device to match the equipment being configured, making it easier to identify later. Once the FieldView Drive 2.0 has been paired and configured, the FieldView Cab app should connect to it automatically during future use.
